My 2 stroke equipment tends to sit for fairly long periods. I religiously use non-ethanol gas in the stuff. I’ve yet to rebuild a carb on any of it. Seems to be working.
I try very hard to run non-E in the old truck, but it’s not possible 100% of the time.
