As for the return spring ..not having a local source for this single rather obscure replacement, can a substitute of a slightly thicker gauge spring be used instead (ie, spec is .025" (.6mm) but increase to next .031" (.8mm) gauge)?
Also, does this spring hit absolute bottom of pump well or is it on the ledge just above the ball on the bottom?
