Tronman - I would respectfully challenge that a frame / front clip swap would be more expensive. - More time-consuming, absolutely - but Frames and front clips are available in my area for as little as $500 or less. I have a basic MIG setup, and several friends who are professional marine welders, so I'm not too concerned about that part of it.
I know I might be butting heads with traditionalists here, but my philosophy is if it gets you out driving your truck instead of something else, it's worth doing it. I dropped out of my local car club for exactly that reason - no one drives their darn classic, they just sit in the garage like trophy queens to be driven on fair days a few times a year...not my thing!
