Bill, the drive gear is on the distributor- - - - -the oil pump drives off a tang on the bottom of the distributor shaft.
Jerry Short between the keyboard and my chair! Sorry. I meant to say between the camshaft and distributor gears. I know the mid 50s Chevy and GMC distributors will interchange, but I don't KNOW that other years will.
