If you are running a stock transmission, I would expect significant turbo lag after each up shift. A turbo needs to be spooled up fairly quickly to provide instant boost.
That might take a while with a 3 speed.
With a T-5, you will likely avoid significant turbo lag.
Also, if you put the T-5 in to begin with, you may find that you don't really need a turbo.
