Simple is fine. The basics will still apply and are very simple. Put as much piping onto your garage as you want..I put my main stuff in the attic and made nice drops down the walls in various places.
It can be as simple as you want and any size you want. I have enclosed one of the layouts I found.
Look around your shop and decide where you want quick connects (drops) for hoses and tools..one one each wall, and one by the overhead door so you can drag a hose outside??
Locate your compressor out of the way and near some source of power. Buy the pipe of choice and connect the FROM to the TO!
