Anything distributor that will work with a 50s Chevy six cylinder engine will work with your 270 (and 228, 236, 248, 256 and 302) GMC. I have a Chevy tall cap 6 cylinder distributor (from 1954) in my '52 GMC 228.

'52 GMC 152 Stake Bed, Original 228, SM420, added A/C, HEI, disk front brakes, '67 Chev 3.55 rear gear. Gets used as a real truck.
