| | | | Joined: Mar 2014 Posts: 4,479 Moderator, Electrical Bay | | Moderator, Electrical Bay Joined: Mar 2014 Posts: 4,479 | I don't know how others do it, but I mark where the vent cover fit on the hardware, remove it and clean out the slot and then install the seal. Once I have it in I reinstall the cover. Hint: be careful when you close it. I usually have my wife close it slowly while I check clearance. Really easy to chip paint on the thing. A friend tells me he used to install them without removing the cover but it never worked for me. Good luck!
