Just to be clear all my bed mounting bolts on my '50 3600 are located in the second board, not the edge board.
In my case I ordered the pre-drilled boards from Mar-K long before they went out of business. I know the frame on the 3600 is a lot narrower at the rear than the 3100 so that may be where the difference is coming into play.
