I am about ready to cut the recesses for the bed mount washers on the wood surfaces. I am using the Mar-K directions that the moderator was kind enough to post for me. According to these directions, the rear recesses will be in the edge boards of the wood, the front and middle recesses will be in the second boards (adjacent to the edge boards). I don't really have any question about that. My question came up when I started looking at pictures of finished beds on line. There I found a lot of variety in the locations of these recesses. I tried to limit my views to 1953 beds, since that's what I'm working on. I'm assuming that these differences are due to customization, frame modifications, etc. I just thought that I'd verify my directions and thinking before I go drilling and cutting.
