Worst case…..if one were so inclined, a single flat screwdriver would have the carb apart in a couple minutes.
No, the worst case would be (and this is what I envision would happen to me), dropping a screw/part attempting that repair.
I believe Carl did the right thing by getting it home, when he could work on it in a more controlled environment.
