Red Red - To answer your question on the water pump mounting bolt holes enter the water jacket, my experience has been yes they do. You need to use an appropriate sealant on the bolt threads to prevent leakage. I personally like to use Permatex #2 Form-A-Gasket on my water pump and thermostat housing seals and bolt threads.
