I have a complete spray-oiler engine from a cabover truck with the updraft carb and the exhaust manifold still attached. I haven't run the numbers yet but it's probably a 235. Getting it from Tennessee to ND might be a challenge, though. The 1957 235 six won't be a direct bolt-in, but it's doable if you aren't concerned with being "factory original". The position of the water pump is different, but there's an adapter plate available to use the 216/older 235 pump. The 283 V8 conversion would involve a lot more effort and expense than installing a later model six.
