Bolters-

Here's my ignorance in new territory showing. I'm removing the Saginaw power steering box and having trouble separating the pitman arm from the relay rod. I think these terms are correct. The pitman arm has a tapered, threaded bolt that runs though the eye of the relay rod, retained by a "castlated" nut and cotter pin. I can bring the nut out and try to wack the nut-bold end with a hammer, but fear I'll mess it all up. There isn't a good spot for a puller to grab and separate. Is a wedged pickle fork the right tool for the job? I appreciate any recommendations or help from those who have rebult their steering sytems.

With thanks in advance-
