Truck is a '47 3600. Using the hood alignment procedure written by 52Carl. I set the hood gap at the cowl to1/8 in.
I keep pressure on the hood with a ratchet strap as I tighten the inner bolts. Two on each side.
I release the strap remove the 4 in. wood from between the hood and grill top. Then the driver's side of the hood the gap increases to about 5/16th. Passenger side stays where I set it.

How does the hood move when it is tight?

All front clip bolts are loose
weatherstrip is new
replaced the hinge without any change

If I had any hair I would pull it out...
