31.5" tires. What are the specs for these tires? (Numbers and letters). Those are pretty tall tires. If they are also significantly wider than stock, you are risking upsetting everything engineered into the front axle assembly. That assembly was designed for stock tires and rims. Can this be overcome? I don't know. I am not an engineer. You need an engineer. Do you happen to have access to a stock set of rims and tires to throw on there and see if all of your problems disappear? Carl, the tires are 215/85R16. I know they are wider than the stock tires, but they've been on the truck for a lot of years with no problems. I do not have access to stock rims and tires. Stock rims (8 lug) will no longer bolt on as all hubs are now (and have been for 11+ years) 5 on 4 3/4".
