This year the Tri-State Truck Show celebrated its 20th event. I have been fortunate enough to attend all but 2 of them. Each year we see familiar faces not only at Camp Stovebolt but other non-Stovebolters as well. As Victor said, the weather was typical WInchester. We have all grown used to inclement weather conditions and it only enhances our great time.
This year I had the privilege to bunking in Rose Bus. While John and Peggy's project is still in its design phase, we were able to battle test in realistic conditions. Much was learned that John will likely give specifics.
Now, the ride there was frustrating. Hopped in the GreenMachine and headed to our selected rendezvous point. Just before arriving, my voltage regulator seemed to stop regulating and the battery was no longer charging. Given the steady rain Friday morning and not wanting to task someone with dragging me home in the event of an issue, I did a quick U-turn and took my other truck.
It was great to spend the weekend with everyone and catch up. As always the event ends too soon and plans are in the works for future events. Thank you to everyone who cooked, provided shelter when needed, and for your friendship over these 20 years. Lots of memories have been made here and I look forward to many more.
