In cleaning out some old email, I had this from Ed dated September 9, 2008:

I keep coming across posts of his, too. He was a big help with pulling together Tech Tips in those early days. What a great guy he was and a pleasure to work with and finally be around. Coming to his first Homecoming was a biggie for us who attended.
