I don't know if this has been mentioned up to this point. I didn't find it in the older tech tip. If your hood needs to come backwards (horizontally) toward the cab when you're adjusting it (before you start installing fenders and inner fender pieces and before you install the spring loaded pieces) loosen the 3 bolts (2 inside and 1 outside) move your hinge piece toward the front...meaning away from the cab. I know, it seems the pivot points for the two swinging hinge pieces (not the spring loaded piece) ought to move backward to accomplish this but that hasn't been the case in the many of these I've done. The hinge piece if moved forward will (a) help locate the hood more correctly and (b) will allow the hinge piece to travel down vertically easier. Good luck!
