I dont realy care if people think I should drive at the speed of light and I love my old truck as is but the old powertrain just will not do what I want it to do.I appreciate all the great feed back and here is another twist. I found a 471 diesel marine application engine close to me in michigan and curious to know if there is a trans that will bolt for road application and would this work. I understand the gearing issue and will search do to what I must for the rearend. My only mod is to change engine and trans if possible.
