Bill, what you reckon the slime was? Just some residue from the flushing process? When I drained the old coolant I didn't notice the slime. Then I flushed the system using a pound of citric acid powder per 1 gallon of water. I've used this mix in the past and never had a problem. I don't recall seeing the slime when I drained the citric acid mix and flushed with water. The slime showed up when I added the new antifreeze. I'm guessing that I didn't properly flush with water the citric acid mix and that it reacted with the antifreeze, producing the slime.
