What year big bolt is this, anyway?
I get down myself sometimes wrenching on my '65 c10... seems things break in spurts. Then, when you go to work on something you think will be, time consuming, but pretty straight forward, there are 'issues' and things not working quite right.
Keep at it... take breaks. Sometimes you have to sit back with a cool drink and just look at it and think on the situation.
