#15504 04/23/2003 4:48 PM | Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 73 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 73 | after work tomorrow, i plan to remove a hydraulic 235 clutch and bellhousing from a '61 truck at the local u-pull it. the complete drivetrain is still in the truck. i'm not too sure how to proceed, since the yard wont let you bring in any jacks or power tools. when removing the 194 from my '31, i had a lot of difficulty splitting the bellhousing from the engine, as several of the bellhousing bolts were blocked by the clutch. is the 235 bellhousing set up the same way (ie, are any of the bolts head only accessible through the inside of the bellhouing)? should i remove the engine or try to seperate the bellhouing with the engine still in the truck? any suggestions?
