Both my 56 and 57 dumps have the tailgate lever in the cab by the left kick panel they are however fully mechanical linkage all the way to the tailgate. I have seen the ones that you are talking about I don't like them, they are hard to spread with you have to put a rope on the lever so you can trip the gate when the box is in the air. | | |
