@Hotrod Lincoln yes I know of the right way to repair stuff and I knew it back then, in 1993 as well. Back then I had no torch or welder or other means of fixing it good. Sadly, I no longer have access to the vehicle because when my Dad died in 2004, I lost all access to the property because his third wife was.. well.. I'll keep things rated G because this is a family friendly forum.. but anyway, the bus is yard art up in Crystal Springs, Utah. I live 750 miles away in Preston Washington, and I somehow doubt I could go up there and mount an expedition to save the rig. Or that I'd have a place to put it.
Edit: '92? '93? Sorry for the floating year, there've been a lot of 'em since then and I've been drunk at least twice during that time. :-D
