The link takes you to generic bumpers that will fit both Chevy and GMC. In 47/48 GMC used a heavier duty bumper with rounded edges on the top and bottom. Almost like a reinforcing edge for strength. Chevy was not a flat bumper as it had a crown from top to bottom and certainly a curve left to right. GMC had the same crown and curve but added a lip on the top and bottom. Both the 47 and 48 share the same part number and are identical in every way but one. The 47 bumper had 4 extra holes punched in it at the outermost ends. The holes were plugged with bumper bolts that bolted to nothing. Just for looks I guess. I have attached pics of both types. I have not seen a 47 style bumper on an original 48. Must have been a bean counter that pointed out the savings on parts and labor if they put 4 less bolts on that served no purpose.
