The rebuild guide says to "press" the 3rd gear bushing ( made of brass alloy ) onto the shaft. The new bushing did not require much of a "press" to install it onto the shaft and press on until it bottoms out on the second speed thrust washer. I was able to force it onto the shaft with my fingers. I'm thinking something is wrong. Either the new mainshaft is undersized or the bushing ID is oversized. Any thoughts on this ?
