The big bolt bumpers have a cross-section similar to that. Like a "U" as opposed to an arc "(". But the brackets don't look like you'd find on a big bolt.
Definitely not a bumper that would be correct for a 1/2 ton GMC.
Looks like a decent passenger side running board, though.
