Found some time to try it today and it works!
Using a wire for the antenna it even brings in more stations than any other radios I have.
I ran jumper wires from the battery in my truck. Even though the truck wasn’t running I got a lot of static. Maybe that is normal.
Will it be necessary to remove the tuner unit before the escutcheon can be removed for paint and a new dial plate?
