They actually made a 1 1/2 pick-up although it's very rare. I saw some pictures floating around here a while back, maybe they'll resurface.
I was contemplating the same thing and making it a dump on top of it. The only thing I didn't like was what the rear fenders would look like. I didn't want generic fenders, I wanted the over sized like the fronts so I could keep the duals.
I'm along way from that project so never mind,
