52 Carl, tank is attached to the frame with conventional brackets.
Rubber lines run from the top of the tank for about maybe 5 ft then hooks up to what I believe is the original steel line to the fuel pump.
I bought the truck in 2016 and was this way since I bought it and never thought twice about it until this happened.
Again I'm guessing the substance I found in the filters was ex gas line due to ethanol.
It seems I'll have to drop the tank to correct this, I'll know more when I get it into the garage.
