| | | | Joined: Sep 2023 Posts: 45 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2023 Posts: 45 | As part of the 12v conversion I’m doing on my 1955.1 235 engine I’ll be replacing the original generator with a 1-wire alternator. I would prefer to keep and reuse the original mounting bracket that Held the generator in place. Has anyone made slight modifications to the original generator bracket/bolts and if so, what did you specifically do? I’m thinking that a long bolt with various size shims/spacers would probably work but I’m interested to hear if you’ve done something different as part of retaining the original bracket.
