It’s a 56 block, not a 55. 55 used shims, 56 did not. It’s in both the pass car manual and the truck manual, both of which were supplements to the 55. If you look at 6.2 in the 56 truck shop manual, the supplement, it’s under main bearings, it’s spelled out.
