For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 254 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 254 | as i've stated in other posts i'm looking at a 63 Chevy COE 1. i'm thinking about now is instead of makin it into a flat bed is to shorten the frame and use it to pull a trailer how complicated is it to shorten the frame? what do i need to watch out for? 2. Gas is going to keep going up and gas engines in big trucks that are always pulling really suck gas so i'm thinkin Diesel? what would be a good diesel engine that gets decent power and good fuel mileage and can be gotten at a fair price that would work in a 63 2ton Chevy COE 3. what would i need to change to use the diesel engine or could i make the stuff it has work (5spd trans, and 2 spd rear) 4. finaly how much of a pain would it be to do (or just tell me i'm crazy and forget about it)
anything and everything is appreciated thanks Nate | | |
