"Can't hurt"- - - - -but it's not really necessary these days. Finding inexpensive "tune-up oil" to keep the reservoir full would be a challenge. Those systems went obsolete in the late 1950's when military aircraft went to jet power and more good quality gas was released for civilian use. It would be quite a conversation starter at a car show or a swap meet, though!
