Updrafts are fun, espescially when you figure out how they work! It took me a little while to figure out the vaccum pump...

I wouldnt think they would work all that great in a conventional truck because they are bulky and hang down so far. You may have problems hitting the steering and also running the intake tube somewhere else. Linkage might be a little different to due to the updrafts throttle connection.

They are cool carbs. Keep it on a shelf in the garage! Not sure how the carters are set up, mines a zenith, being its a gmc. Id go with the downdraft for now. Think about it buying a coe to use the carb on! grin Thatd be my solution!
