Probably catch on fire. It has a 1934 patent date. It is pretty cool looking. I wonder if a lot of people tried it back in the day. If it worked, it would probably just give you a hotter spark. I'm not sure where it goes in the ignition system. Not that it matters much, but it could be either be plugged into the top of the coil or the other end of the coil wire on top of the distributor.
