| | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,772 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,772 | I've always used a big pipe wrench to hold a yoke while I torque the pinion nut- - - - -hasn't slipped yet, even when using a 48" pipe wrench and applying 1200 Ft/lbs. to the pinion nut on a Freightliner with an Eaton dual drive axle. That took a 1" drive with a 4 foot cheater bar.
