Another thing to clarify. You mentioned you need ".01 oversize". Is that what your machinist told you, or perhaps was the crankshaft reground .010 undersized???
I know it might seem kinda butt backwards, but an "undersized" bearing is one that fills up the space made by regrinding the crankshaft bearing journals smaller than they were originally. It's my understanding that an "oversize" bearing is meant to be used when the block (not the crankshaft) was machined so the main bearing saddle size is larger than stock (no change to the crankshaft main bearing journal sizes).
Jerry may be able to explain this better than I have and I bow to his better knowledge.
