Now I don't have a horse in this race but using the 8 pound sledge with that thrust bearing to back it may be a little overkill. maybe you have a helper keeping the crank pried forward IDK just a caution. My last one I used an oaken 2x2 and just a large shop hammer ,it's running fine.
