I installed the new windshield in my 54 3100 using the rope method with sealant and my windshield leaks. Based on the design of the rubber gasket and the sealant I used I have no idea how it can possibly leak.
Dave , I'm a big chicken when it comes to the windshield. I watched one too many YouTube Videos, read several posts, and kinda decided that whomever assisted me would end up running away to never return and I'd get intoxicated and start smoking to boot. So I ate Ramen noodles and Spam for two months, saved the money and paid someone else to do it. Looks like I get to relive the whole thing again. Seriously, the "new guy" talked like he knew his stuff. We shall see.
