If you've got a SBC V8 bellhousing bolt pattern, it's not a 235. The 194, 230, 250, and 292 sixes have the same bolt pattern as a V8. Does the cylinder head have shaft mounted rocker arms, or are there individual studs that mount the rockers? Jerry
