Hotshoe, Chevy did indeed refer to the short hood conventionals as LCF (Low Cab Forwards) My Chevrolet Master Parts Books, & Chevy Maintenace Manuals, all refer to these trucks, as LCF models. The cabs were more forward, on the chassis, than the regular conventionals. The white, 1960 L80 LCF Tractor, the red 1964 L60H cab, & chassis, & the Blue, & white 1965 L80 Wrecker,with red doors, were all part of six, of these trucks, I had at one time. See them here,
