I have considered going to a 265 or 283 in this truck. After all, it's not as though the truck was totally original. The thing is, It's not that I want "more power". I simply want a reliable fuel system. I would also like to avoid modifications to the drivetrain mounting system. Something that I have been able to do thus far. Basically, I still have everything that would be needed to return this truck to a 1942, as built, configuration, through bolt on changes. I'm going to try to stick to that commitment for the present.
