I'm going to visit the guy with the cam grinder today. I have new Melling and Elgin cams he can use as patterns to copy, and I'll also bring up the subject of buying the machine at some future time when he's ready to retire. Back in the late 1980's we were both building racing engines in this area, but we never managed to meet at that time.
