Recently, I've encountered a couple of old geezers in the machine shop business who make me feel like a rank amateur! One is currently getting set up to regrind a few stovebolt camshafts for me, due to the shortage of new cams caused by the lack of cores. He's in his mid-80's, and on chemotherapy, so I'm hoping to learn how it's done while he's still able to share some of his knowledge. Good machine work is getting about as scarce as finding a chicken with lips!
