Here's some pics of the support rods that go from the edge of the hood to the front latch panel. They're 7-3/4" long between holes and have an offset in them. Note that the end that goes on the hood edge is countersunk to match a similar hole on the hood edge. My hood is disassembled at the moment, but these pics may help you track down the support rods if you're digging through a pile of parts. Notice at the upper left of the first pic the countersunk ring under the bolt head. That broke off the hood (since been restored). The last pic is the support rod clamped in it's position on the hood edge, but the upper hood latch panel isn't in place. My hood latch panel is currently not accessible or I'd send you a pic of it loosely bolted in place on the hood. The eBay link that Dan posted will show you that.
