So you're saying your hood is missing the upper latch reinforcement panel. Sorry I don't have a picture for you, but you might post an ad in the Swap Meet. I think you'd have some trouble fabbing a replacement, as the latch bolt that mounts to the hood panel would have to be located pretty exactly for both position and depth relative to the latch proper. Besides the plate, there are a couple of support rods heading from it to the edge of the hood. The Factory Assembly Manual Section 11, sheet 4 shows how they go together.
