None had a p/s box. Later years used an assist cylinder in the linkage or just off box pitman arm. These require many pressure sensing valves, lots of hoses and isn't feasable to hack an important system from one truck to another. If you put in new kingpins, tie-rods if you can find and new steering link you will have nice easy steering most of time. Other choice, I don't believe in is using a Motorhome or P-chassis truck chassis with all new systems on it, just use your body on newer frame. My .02 worth!
