Lots of work on Brad's part ... pure enjoyment (and references) for you!
| | THANKS!
For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2022 Posts: 81 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2022 Posts: 81 | I grabbed a rearend from a 1999 4wd blazer(wider as indicated for swap) with disc brakes(3.73 gear) and I will need a master from that same year and thinking same year portioning valve. Ed told me to get a 94 or older column and brackets for brake and throttle as the kit comes with the proper mounts for it same with booster to mount to my cab. It was cold when I grabbed everything and got a standard column and not an automatic column so need to go back and swap that out.
I’m not that great with wiring and I know I’ll need to trim down the factory wiring harness and I’m looking into what I can trim out without crippling the motor/trans. Also figuring out if there’s a way to adapt the gauges without spending a fortune.
It all pretty much research now until I can pick up the truck as it’s still snow and bad weather where it is. I still need to clear up room in the shop and weighing options for that(need to sell a couple cars). | | |
